Les erreurs à éviter en anglais

• ✗ The social medias are dangerous.

  ✓ Social media $is/are$ dangerous. (Pas de -s à 'media', c'est déjà un pluriel latin. Pas d'article 'the' pour le concept général.)

• ✗ I saw the news, they are terrible.

  ✓ I saw the news, it is terrible. ('News' est indénombrable singulier en anglais.)

• ✗ He gave me many informations.

  ✓ He gave me a lot of information. ('Information' est indénombrable en anglais.)

• ✗ Actually, I agree with censorship.

  ✓ In fact, I agree with censorship. (Faux ami : 'actually' = en fait, en réalité — pas 'actuellement'. Pour 'actuellement$' \to$ currently.)

• ✗ People is addicted to social media.

  ✓ People are addicted to social media. ('People' est pluriel en anglais.)
